I had a weird idea of a pixel art drawing of Asbjoernsen & Moe and the tale of "Ekeberg kongen" (The king of Ekeberg). Dressing them up as two goths/metal fanatics, with a slight touch of BDSM. My imagination gets weird sometimes.
The tiny creatures are, according to Norwegian folk lore, referred to as a "bytting". I actually used chatGPT to find a translation for this, one being: Changeling, another being "Troll child".
"In Norse/Scandinavian tales, a bytting is a troll or supernatural creature’s child, left behind when they steal a human baby. The English/Irish folklore word changeling describes the same idea — a swapped child, often uncanny or troublesome." - Ok, then.
